Biographical notes
Born in Rouen in 1903, Jean Pascaud trained as an engineer before turning to furniture after the 1925 Exhibition. Exhibiting at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs from 1931, he notably created an ensemble for the liner Normandie. His classically shaped furniture, veneered in precious woods and enhanced with parchment, shagreen or marquetry, embodies a restrained, refined luxury.
