Founded by Arnaud Plaisance in 1992, Galerie Plaisance quickly established itself as a leading name in 20th-century decorative arts and design. Originally located on rue Bonaparte in Paris, the gallery has evolved over the years to meet the expectations of a passionate and discerning clientele.
Alongside his work as a dealer, Arnaud Plaisance founded his own appraisal firm, Plaisance Expertise, in 2008, working with prestigious auction houses in France and abroad.
In 2015 he also created his own auction house, Art Auction France, consolidating his position as a recognised expert. Years of collaboration with houses such as Piasa, Tessier & Sarrou and Gros & Delettrez have established him in the market, organising many prestigious sales in Paris and abroad. This dual role, as both dealer and expert, allows the gallery to offer its clients rigorously selected pieces together with informed advice.
What sets Galerie Plaisance apart is above all its selective approach, combining quality, rarity and artistic value. Every object is chosen with particular care, to ensure pieces that carry a history, a savoir-faire and an identity of their own.
Through this demanding selection, Arnaud Plaisance and his team offer a coherent and unique vision of 20th-century decorative arts, mixing styles to create bold and subtle combinations.
In this pursuit of excellence, L’Usine, a recently opened 350 m² space at the gates of the Saint-Ouen flea market, marks a new chapter for the gallery. This unique venue combines industrial architecture with careful staging, giving every work an ideal setting. L’Usine is the perfect place to discover, buy and enjoy pieces in a setting both refined and bold.
