    Biographical notes
An Italian architect and designer, Tomaso Buzzi was artistic director of the Venini glassworks on Murano from 1932 to 1934. There he designed refined pieces, often inspired by plant forms and antiquity, and developed multi-layered “incamiciato” glass enhanced with gold leaf (Laguna and Alga series). His research also extended to lighting.
