Biographical notes
Born in Lausanne and trained in Munich and at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Ernest Boiceau first made his name as an embroiderer for couture and the theatre before opening an interior decoration business in 1928. A refined figure of Art Deco, until the mid-1930s he created furniture in rare woods, lighting, objects and Cornely-stitch carpets for a select clientele.
