Biographical notes
Born in Boulogne-sur-Mer, Jules Leleu (1883-1961) founded the Leleu firm with his brother Marcel, one of the great French houses of ensembliers-decorators. His furniture combines precious woods, architectural lines and impeccable finishes. The firm worked notably for the liners Île-de-France and Normandie, the Élysée Palace and the League of Nations in Geneva.
