Sylva Bernt
1910-1995
An Italian sculptor, Sylva Bernt met André Arbus in Venice and settled in Paris from 1952. She became his preferred collaborator, producing sculpted elements for his furniture and interiors, notably for the liners Bretagne, Viêt Nam and Pasteur. She also created large stone bas-reliefs inspired by ancient myths.
