Sébastien

Gabriel Simonet, known as Sébastien, was a French sculptor, ceramist and painter. Trained at the École Boulle, he worked as a decorator before turning to sculpture and terracotta; living in Vallauris during the war, he became known as "the magician of Vallauris clay". The painter and jeweller Lucienne Lazon collected his work, which is now held at the Centre d'Art Sébastien in Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer.
