Joël Roux

A sculptor trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Bayonne, Joël Roux draws much of his imagination from Basque culture. His works include "Hommage aux tontons surfeurs" (2007), installed on the Côte des Basques in Biarritz, whose form was born, in his own words, from a folded piece of paper, "a bit like Matisse".
