Gustave Sandoz
From a line of clockmakers, Gustave Sandoz founded a watchmaking and jewellery house in 1861, which he moved to the Palais-Royal in 1865. An exhibitor at the Universal Exhibitions, he chaired the association of Palais-Royal jewellers. His house, taken over in 1891 by his son Gustave-Roger, embodies the refinement of late 19th-century Parisian luxury objects.
