François Weil
b. 1964
Born in Paris in 1964, François Weil graduated from the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs (1986) and in sculpture from the Beaux-Arts de Paris (1988). Since the late 1980s he has developed a body of work built on the dialogue between stone and steel, exploring balance, tension and the movement of masses. He received the Pierre Cardin Prize in 1997.
