    Caroline Lee

    1932-2014

Born in Chicago and trained at the Art Institute, Caroline Lee settled in Paris around 1958 on a Fulbright scholarship. Noticed at the Salon de la Jeune Sculpture in 1961, she developed an often monumental body of work in bronze and metal, combining strength and lightness. Her works are held by the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, among others, and she became a corresponding member of the Académie des beaux-arts in 2006. She also created sculptures for Guerlain's window displays.
