Biographical notes
A Venetian painter trained at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts, Luciano Gaspari (1913-2007) worked with the Salviati glassworks from 1947 and was its artistic director from 1955 to 1968. His painter’s sensibility shaped glass of bold colour and transparency, shown at the Venice Biennale from 1958 to 1966.
